Annual Excursion Bulletins
The Society has published a research bulletin each year for 97 years. The bulletins are referred to as Annual Excursions reflecting that in the early years in particular they provided a description of the houses, cellar holes and landmarks along specific routes which were traveled in caravan on the day of the annual picnic. In later years the Excursion Bulletins have dealt with a wide variety of local research topics including education, the churches, notable individuals, and participants in the Civil War and recently, the impact of the Boarding Houses so popular in the 1870 - 1920 eras. Most also contain a Director's Report, Necrology, and the Year in Review for organizations in the Town of Sandwich.
