~ FINAL WEEK ~
Our summer season ends on Saturday, September 5. If you have not had a chance to visit our Special Summer Exhibition: "Beauty and Utility - A Century of Sandwich Home Industries" in the Joseph Wentworth Gallery located in the Elisha Marston House. This special exhibition showcases items from our collection as well as loans from the collections of the League of NH Craftsmen in Concord, the NH Historical Society, and treasured items from family collections highlighting the decades of artisans at the Sandwich Home Industries. Learn the history of this amazing organization, and the individuals behind it all. In addition to our normal hours (Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM) we have added an additional opportunity to visit us this week on Wednesday, September 2, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Stop by the Farmers Market on the Village Green, then come over and visit us at the Elisha Marston House/Barn/Gift Shop.
The Quimby Barn Transportation Museum is open on Saturdays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM through the Sandwich Fair (October 9-12).
A gentle reminder .... the 107th Annual Excursion Bulletins are available for pick-up at the Elisha Marston House (cost: free to members / non-members and additional copies are $10 ea.) ....and we hope you will consider joining or renewing your membership at the same time. Thank you! Picking up your bulletin helps to defray the high cost of postage, so we gratefully request our local members to please stop by or email ([email protected]) to make pick-up arrangements. If you do not get out much, no problem .... a few members are happy to deliver as well....just let Jennifer know! Thank you for your help!

John and Fran Howe installed a new post for our Purple Martin House, which had taken a nose-dive earlier this month due to a rotten post. We are grateful for their quick action in restoring the Purple Martin House to its place of honor in the dooryard of the Elisha Marston House.
