In 2023 we were awarded a Inspire! Grant for Small Museums by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and our exhibition this year is the culmination of the conservation efforts provided by the grant.
(Click HERE to read more about the award)  Through this grant, we were able to conserve seven (7) invaluable objects from our collection.

Summer 2025 brings this work to the public in our special exhibit, "Conversations on Conservation: Saving the Past for the Future."

Our exhibition will not only show some impressive before (pictures) and after (objects), it will start the discussion about the need for and process of conservation, restoration, and preservation and the differences between the three.

Visit us this summer to see our seven (7) recently conserved objects as well as some items from our collection we have conserved in the past.

The stewardship of our material history is an ongoing endeavor; one that we take pride in accomplishing through the help of programs and grants such as the IMLS Inspire! Grant and through the continued support or our members and our community!
