Sandwich Fair Through the Years 1886-2010

From the book's forward:

Joan Cook has done it again! This, her second book (the first was Exposed, Unbanked, Weatherbeaten, Knowledge Box: The Schools of Sandwich, New Hampshire 1802- 1950) is yet another gift to the town of Sandwich. She has researched dates and developed a time line of events spanning more than 100 years. The photographs show examples of how life was "way back when". She has brought to life the people who made the Sandwich Fairs so wonderful and enjoyable throughout the years. Once just names to many of us, Joan has revealed their faces and characters with her photographs and stories.

It is with great pride that the Sandwich Fair Association opened the doors of its new Sandwich Fair Museum during the 100th Sandwich Fair in 2010. The museum came to fruition due to Joan's dream, her efforts, and her persistence. Certainly others helped, but most definitely it would not have happened without her.

This book is like a museum in book form. Step back in time and enjoy the Sandwich Fairs over the years.
