Membership Challenge Grant

     As we enter our ninety-first year we have a unique opportunity to increase our membership.  The Sandwich Historical Society is participating in a membership drive challenge grant being offered by the Robert & Karin Finlay Foundation.  The historical society in New Hampshire showing the greatest increase in membership in 2008 will receive a $25,000 award.  The goal of this challenge is to motivate public institutions to attract new patrons through innovative ideas and programs that engage our community into a lifetime of learning.  We are looking for your help to be the historical society that wins this challenge grant by participating in the Membership Sponsor Program.   

    Through the Membership Sponsor Program we are asking each member of the Society to ask a friend or friends to join the Society at the Individual or Family membership level.  There is a place on the membership card for the friend to write in the member's name as membership sponsor. The member who sponsors the most new members will win a Life Membership.  If there is a tie, then we will have a drawing at the Annual Meeting in November.
